Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise that is used by physiotherapists for rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries. It is different from the traditional form of Pilates because a patient has to be first assessed by a physiotherapist trained in Clinical Pilates before exercises are prescribed.

One of the key focuses of Clinical Pilates is to enhance the control and strength of core muscles as well as to restore optimal movements in the body. The exercises are individually tailored and administered at a graded level to prevent injuries.
